Should I remove oyster blocks from bags?

I have a very ghetto oyster grow going, was more a large experiment with techniques so that I could learn than it was a grow. The fact that they are so forgiving and actually pinning is a huge bonus!
At any rate I have them currently in oven bags that I poked holes in when the bag was fully colonized. They are sitting in a high humidity monotub and I see primorida forming all over. Should I remove the bag completely, or just leave them as is? I might do both just to learn what happens.
Thanks,
Cul

Oysters require a huge amount of fresh air. If you leave them in a bag OR monotub, they'll form coral-like structures rather than real fruits. They need a few air exchanges per hour and lots of light. RR

Ok thanks, I will see how much I can open things up without drying it out at the same time.

I don't know RR. If you cut X marks on the bag, then the fruits will push through the slits. I was just never a fan of taking them out of the bags.

What do I do between oyster flushes? [Re: Cheezit]

Well thanks to the advice above my three blocks fruited wonderfully. Very exciting as its my first grow from scratch and my daughter just cant help but go look at them every few hours to comment on their growth. Had some issues with humidity at the end, due to it getting cold our and us having to fire up the wood stove which dries out the air far more then the furnace. So I am setting up a grow light in a cooler spot so I don't need it by the windows now, to try for my next blocks/flush.
What do I do with my block when its done fruiting and I have picked my mushrooms? In the MC it says the flush interval is 10 days, but what do I do with it during that time frame? I have been pouring over old posts and this is what I think I should do. Let the block dry a bit and keep cool to let the mycellium rest, then give it a good dunk to rehydrate and then put it back out to fruit again. Is this correct? Am I missing something?
Anything I can do during this 10 days to help fight off contams, given that its no longer in bags?
Thanks for everyone's help.

You have it right. Keep it in fresh air, and let it dry out somewhat during the resting period. That should be enough to keep trich away. You might consider washing it under the faucet every two or three days. That also helps to keep some of the contaminant spores knocked off. Dunk in a week and return to fruiting conditions. Sometimes it helps to run a cool mist humidifier in the general area the grow is located to bump the ambient humidity up. RR

Thanks! One last question, how clean do my blocks need to be? Should I pick off all the aborts and any mushroom fruit parts that didnt come when I picked? Or just focus on the bigger stuff and not worry about the little tiny pins.
Thanks,
Cul
