I don't know about eating the mushrooms but I know I wouldn't' fruit a cake that was contaminated. Good luck avoiding something like the green in future projects after letting a cake with it sit in a FC spewing spores all over the FC and the room with FAE.

lol, this has gone way overboard.

2. none of the species listed above create mycotoxins, careful of the fear mongering.

3. if either of these things concern you, you should not be eating mushrooms of any kind, at all.

Mycotoxicosis can, does and will happen with growers who are not careful with contaminations....

"unless your allergic to penicillin", Somthing to keep in mind as many are.If you eat them, make sure it's only you!, don't pass around.IMOA. Here's something on penicillin.

Penicillins and cephalosporins are also the most common causes of drug allergy. About 10% of Americans report an allergy to penicillin or a related antibiotic. While penicillin allergy most commonly occurs in young adults, reactions can occur at any age. Women appear to be at higher risk than men. Approximately 300 deaths can be attributed to penicillin allergy each year in the United States. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to penicillin may include anaphylaxis, hives, below-the-skin swelling, asthma symptoms, as well as non-allergic symptoms such as serum sickness, certain forms of anemia, and other drug rashes.

I always hear that mold spores will mess up future grows but my friend never has problems and we find really nasty stuff in the corners of his room sometimes like green and black sandwiches that smell strongly like meat (but no meat in the sandwich). There are definitely a lot of mold spores in his house but he pretty much never gets contams.
