what to grow?
    #7613624 - 11/09/07 02:07 AM (16 years, 2 months ago)

So I've got a couple extra bucks kicking around and I'd like to spend it on some seeds. I've never really grown anything aside from mushrooms and mj(frist grow still in the works). Any recomendations? I'm looking for something low maintenence. Like I can stick it in the right dirt, water it, and thats it. Psychoactive is a must. I'm considering peyote, or san pedro, datura, salvia (but not so much I hear it's a bitch to grow), maybe even poppy. Perhaps some of you have some more exotic suggestions that I've never even heard of. Thanks in advance

Where can you get salvia cuttings? I've been looking everywhere and the last trade I tried fell through.

you may want to look into datura, it may not be what your after...

what sort of things you into? very heavy trips, lighter more controllable...what sort of thing. i think salvia is pretty good, but many people dont like it...it is fairly easy to grow, but some people just can't get the right conditions going. cacti are the easiest hands down, but you need to wait a while. others like Psychotria are very easy but may not be what your after...? Perhaps Desmanthus, Rivea/HBWR/MG etc. all are pretty easy to grow.

I enjoy very heavy trips spaced out over large amounts of time. I wouldn't mind waiting 5 years to actually taste my peyote. Datura seems cool and easy to grow. I don't know as I'd necessarily wanna mess around with it to much as I have friends with really bad experiences with it. But it'd be cool to have kicking around. I'd like to grow salvia someday but not right now. I know there are lots of plants that contain DMT. Can someone suggest maybe one of them that are commonly grown?

Desmanthus, Psychotria, Caapi are some very easy to grow plants, depending on your conditions.

Salvia is super easy. I started with two small plants less than a year ago. I have produced 35 new plants from them with a 100% success rate and I really don't consider myself having a green thumb.

I too am interested in dmt containing plant's. Are there any fairly productive ones that are well suited for indoor growing?

Psychotria do well with low light and warm temps. not the fastest but do good with window light.

not the easiest specie to find real seeds for.  also far harder to grow up and harvest than Psychotria....Psy. you just need the leaves, Mimosa you need to grow the plant up in a HUGE pot and harvest the root bark, not easily done indoors :frown:  nice plants to have around, but if using them is your goal and you need to do it indoors i would not choose a specie where you need to harvest the root....or a specie that grows like mimosa.  just my opinion, i used to grow mimosa indoors as well...but did not do well.

Thanks Kadakuda. At .1% to .61% it sounds like one would have to grow a fair amount. It would be worth it to me though to be self sufficient. I don't need a lot or need it often so it might just work out.

I've got experience with MHRB and that would be great if I lived where it could grow outside year round.
