So i done my casing. with 50% cake and 50% casing. and it colonized very well. I was just waiting for it to pin.. the temperature isnt that hot now since summer is over.. but i do have a heater on at night. My problem is that the casing got kind of hard so I misted it but still doesnt seem it solved the problem. Shall I warm up the room to solve this? Does anyone know if it can be solved or if it's normal?
Thanks

That's not right, a casing never fully colonizes. A fully colonized casing is called overlay and the hard mat that forms on top is impenetrable by water...generally a scraping is required to fix it and is rather stressful on the mycelium colony below.
Need to see pictures to determine if you have overlay or stroma going on though...

What i meant is that when misted the casing is soft. but the mycelium is pretty damn hard.

Whats your Rh. Before I had tweaked my terrarium i had problems with hard myc. What are using to keep the humidity/fresh air exchange. A cool mist and exhaust holes fixed my problem.
