Casings still no sign of pin heads.

I have a casing that's about 15 or so days old. The mycelium has colonized the casing layer as well. Still no pin heads. Very healthy looking mycelium growth.
Am I just being impatient?
Also I threw out a moldy looking case in the grass in front of my place and some mushrooms grew. They have never grown there before.
There is no blue staining in them. They have a white stem and a goldish white cap. They were Golden Teacher's I threw out.
Are these safe to eat? Or should I just toss them?
Thanks for any help

From what I could see in the picture, it looks like hyphal knots are forming.

Be patient....

It's much safer to throw them out back....

Are they growing off the substrate you threw out?

Blueing is oxidation of the natural chemicals in psilocybe cubensis (as well as some others that are not active or edible). Sometimes it only happens if you break or pinch the mushroom.

White stem and goldish cap is not enough to identify a mushroom 100%.

If they are that important to you, I would utilize the Identification thread in the hunting forum and follow the ID request guidelines. Otherwise, toss them and just wait until you're methodology improves. Once you get the hang of it, you will not have a lack of shrooms.
Thanks for any help

Thanks a lot Fraggin. It's hard to say if they were growing off the substrate I threw out there. We have landscapers and they do the lawn every once in awhile.
Mushrooms have never grown before I threw out the crumble cakes. Also the ones I picked have no bruising what so ever. Even when the stem breaks. They are same color no matter what.
I will just toss them. I rather be sure about the mushies.
And are hyphal knots good or bad?
Thanks again

Hyphal knots are good... Check this thread for comparison to your grow.

That's exactly what mine looks like. Thanks for the link. I'm not so worried now. From the pics you showed me looks like I will get some good pin sets.
Thanks again.
