Lemon Juice trick with Chocolates?

Ight most everyone knows about how you can use lemon/cranberry juice and mix it with ground of shrooms and it will make the onset and the peak a lot stronger. I was wondering if i could mix chocolates- as in shrooms put boiled and mixed with chocolate- lemon juice and it would have the same affect.

Not clear on what you're saying. You have chocolates to begin with?

Sorry i just noticed that makes no sense. I have chocolates to begin with. I am going to attempt mixing it up with lemon juice and experimenting to see if it makes it a stronger trip with the chocolates. And i was wondering if any one has ever tried this before.

I'm sure it would have a similar effect, but... gross.

Yeah, I think it would be hard to get the chocolate to a consistency that would allow the lemon juice to fully do it's thing. I think you'll prob end up with a chocolate/lemon juice mush that doesn't taste ultra pleasant and probably not too much noticeable effect. You never know though, if you don't mind stomaching that then try it and report back.

Lemon juice contains citric acid which increases one's absorption of food in the stomach. So yes, it should work.

you'd probably want to let it soak for at least 20 minutes.
I won't strain out my powdered mushrooms until they've been in the lemon juice for at least 20 minutes - being that yours are covered in chocolate, I'd let it sit longer... maybe an hour? I'm still unsure as to why you want to try this with chocolates... I don't see the pros outweighing the cons here.

Around here some people buy their mushrooms in chocolate bars. 2 grams for $25. Huge ripoff IMO, and completely idiotic on the consumers part. I think think they're shorting people on the shrooms because a friend ate one and had no visuals, just a body high. Waste o' money.
Anyways, maybe he also got his shrooms in chocolate bars, so he can't really get around it.

Yea... chocolate bars have been around my parts in the past, fortunately I wasn't foolish enough to buy any. Word on the streets was that many of the chocolates had only one thing in them... chocolate. Typical... things like this are one of the many reasons I decided to boycott drug dealers and went about cultivating my own.
If you can only get your mushrooms in chocolate bars... sorry? I can see where he's coming from with this experiment, but I just don't see how performing it could possibly make things any more worth while. Chocolate and citrus juices just don't mix... it's gonna be nasty. The taste probably won't be too unbearable because it will be immediately swallowed, but I'd really have to hype myself up for it.

That's not true at all. Actually it could be delicious. Havn't you ever had a chocolate orange or flavored chocolate?

I tried asking about this two days ago. except I have mushrooms that I want to make into chocolate, somehow using the lemon juice technique to make my chocolates stronger.

the jury's still out on whether the lemon juice thing really works. My guess is that the most important part of it is getting the actives into a liquid, ie. tea. Possibly the lemon juice helps a bit with the extraction process but the main thing is hot water. Tea is faster/stronger because the actives absorb quicker into the body in liquid form. Probably the people who noticed big increases in potency with lemon weren't used to mushroom tea.
Mushroom powder in chocolates is good because it has zero bad taste. But I can't see how you can get tea to solidify in chocolate without using so much chocolate that it becomes impractical. And even if it was possible, the actives would still be less readily absorbed into the body than from a liquid. You can't have the full benefits of a liquid in a solid.

Of course I have! but we are talking about pure lemon juice here... I just can't see how that could be appealing... but you're right, I could be way wrong.

Chocolate is an maoi just not as strong as lemon juice, one of the strongest natural MAOI's you can get is black currant juice, search black currant and youll find a huge post about increasing trip power and length, last time i did it, I was so far gone off of just 2g's for about 8 hours

lemon juice is not an maoi, chocalate maybe just barely and the jury's not out on whether lemon juice really 'works' or not. ofcourse it 'works'. you powder your shrooms thereby greatly incresing the surface area, allowing it to be digested much quicker, no to mention the strong acidity of lemon which already starts digesting the muchrooms and converting psilocybin to psilocin before you even ingest it, plus the flavanoids may have some action in all of this...kinda like in passionflower/fruit. this is why it 'works'
