That's technically a deformity and not a mutation...
Most cubes have a viscid pellicle and often when two, maturing pins get a droplet of water form between them that is not fanned off, the pellicle between the to of them grows together forming a single "siamese twin" fruit... not entirely uncommon but is often a good indicator that you're getting/leaving water droplets on your fruits/pins as they mature.
