AR-15 attached to a robot....legal?

could I attach an AR-15(or any gun) to a robot? or would the be illegal? I was thinking a robot with camera, laser sight, and range finder... It seems pretty illegal to me.. but I think it would be cool..

why would you want to do that?
and i imagine it would be fairly difficult to rig it to fire remotely.... and even if you figured it out, the aim would be terrible lol.

i doubt it would be illegal if it were possible.. but i bet whatever accidently or purposely happened because of it probably would be.
