Introduction
    #7607207 - 11/07/07 02:37 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

Just want to say hello."hello". I'm a recovering alcoholic/addict looking to change my life esp. my way of thinking- I'm so off balance with how the rest of society reacts to situations, so I'm told. Not sure if it's true, but again it's what close friends tell me. Would a trip down mushroom lane be considered "falling off the wagon" seriously, I need an awakening, a mystical slap in the face, I need to be able to see life in a different light instead of this, instead of through this foggy vision known as "recovering a/a"

Damn! I'm having fun! Just keep the GD monkeys away.

I really doubt consuming psychedelics will give you that slap you looking for.

Sobriety is winner.

Personally I see no objection to you using LSD or Mushrooms. I know that a lot of research even points to LSD ceasing alcohol abuse. Plus both of the drugs are non-habit forming, you cannot become addicted to them.

I say yes, but hear what maybe some more older members have to say about it. I'm only in my 20's. I would imagine that a hallucinogenic drug may add a sparkle or gleam in your life. Make things a little bit more sunny so to say.

-Cheers :hippie:

Well, I guess it really depends on whether you yourself think that eating a mushroom will end your sobriety. If you believe mushrooms would constitute falling off the wagon than you probably should not use them. I do not want to influence your descision by giving you my viewpoint about sobriety and mushroom usage because it is all up to you. It is whatever you yourself believe. And by the way, eating mushrooms is not going to guarantee you spritual enlightment or guarantee you a new positive direction/outlook in life. Then again they might do something for you, I have always thought the mushroom eater has no control over these things. The mushroom spirits decide if they want to let you in or if they make you wait. It is usually hit or miss.
