spray the soil with a peroxide solution.
also take the cover off for a few hours a day
  but yeah sounds like cobweb
I had it on some seedlings soil before and they survived by doing what I said

I think I have used straight peroxide with no problems before.  it made the soil bubble right up too
but it would probably be better for the plants to dilute it. I am not sure the ratio either.
maybe someone else can answer that one???
  uare, kada, royer???

i dont know, i asked the same question a few days ago but didnt get any conclusive answers

the information i could find online is contradictory to say the least... where ratio's are given, they dont include the strength of the peroxide solution they started with... so pretty much useless... i spent hours searching for answers before i posted a thread here...

honestly, i really don't think you need to do this unless it is actually ON the cactus, but i don't think it will attack a healthy seedling, maybe though. i have only had mold attack the cactus if it is already doling bad, like bugs or root problems skin damage etc. i would first remove any organic bits or slow release fertilizer type stuff. then just give it some more air/light if you don't already. if the problem is still there just let it dry a little bit more. i personally think mold is more a problem of the conditions and nothing to do with the plants. they will still grow very fast if kept a little drier or watered just a little less.

another reason i top dress with sand, fungus doesn't like it as much. i have had cobweb once on a top dressed pot, so i poked a couple more holes in the "tent" and watered a little bit less and problem solved.

Please be mindful to choose the correct column in the chart depending on whether you are using 3% hydrogen peroxide or 35% hydrogen peroxide!!

As you may notice, the amount of peroxide in the chart for sick and fungusy plants is twice as much as in the first chart. I have heard of people using stronger solutions, but more is NOT always better. So be careful, and when in doubt, stay safe. You can always apply more another day. If you decide to use a bit more, please make it only a bit more, don't get carried away. Gardening with hydrogen peroxide is great, but too much can harm your plants. 10% hydrogen peroxide is recommended as a week killer -- in other words it will kill your plants at that concentration....
