You're right. You didn't say that. Only a low-down manipulating scum would allude to such a thing.

don't want to derail this thread any further but...
it is only fight or flight which makes us selfish
rationality, a product of our newer more evolved brain, is what allows us to balance our animalistic desires on one hand with what is rationally best, happiness for ourselves and others brought about by helping each other out.
someone who tries to take advantage of others is generally not happy because they are acting out of fear which is governed by the reptilian brain

I don't think the fight or flight instinct makes us selfish. People become selfish when they fear deprivation and are socially alienated. Fight or flight allows us to avoid getting into dangerous situations. I appreciate and trust this instinct, we'd probably all die at a really young age without it.

I don't know... most of us will never realize our dreams, will never reach our full potential, and when we die we will soon be forgotten (save for a select few loved ones).

tough truth #23 Pure authoritarianism disguised as democracy does not need to come take your power away. Instead, you give it up by your own free will.

Let me provide the middle path which I believe to be the best and most honest one. "We do not know if there is a God or not."

Then what you just said is untrue.
