I've always wondered how it could be that one of the most significant events in human history (the attacks of 9/11) were not predicted on a dated internet forum, though there were lots of claims of having dreamed the event on 9/12.

Same for the tsunami... and Katrina... and the two shuttle disasters... and...

My guess is it partly has to do with the fact that people don't make the connection until after their dream becomes reality. Also, have you actually checked that no one predicted it, or are you just assuming?

Yep. Google turns up many people claiming to have predicted these events, but not a single claim is backed up with a post on a DATED forum like Shroomery where they can't lie about it.

Contrary to popular belief, I truly want precognition (and other supernatural stuff) to be real. I've devoted a lot of time throughout my life to looking for hard evidence, but it just doesn't exist. It ALWAYS comes down to a story that can't be verified or that is exposed as an outright lie.

And EVERY claim of supernatural powers that can be tested HAS been tested and failed.

What else can I tell ya...

I often ponder how can any event happen on the not so distant future earth and how does such events reach through dreams to people living on the present earth.  It would mean there are many earths existing simultaneously..:whoa: science fiction.

Personally speaking only, with my dreams, I never know that they are going to reflect anything in the future.. Nor do I assume that they are or read anything into them.

I only get that deja vu feeling after remembering the dream in relationship to my waking experience.

Perhaps I have browsed too many home improvement magazines and most modern homes just look the same?

Ahhh.. who really cares in the end?

Smile and enjoy!

We are not truly capable of fully and correctly interpret and understand our dreams yet.
We get the peek of it only.
BUT, we are capable to work onward from that

If you don't like the topic of this thread, don't read it or post in it. Your non-contribution to the discussion only wastes space.

Consider this a warning.

The thread isn't exactly hot philosophy either
Just seems to be a constant paranormal bashing.

Isn't philosophy about thinking?  Not condemning.
