And how exactly was it "precognitive" then?

Your most complete thread to date.

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Of course, it wasn't. But mystic-heads have thousands of such dreams and the one that FINALLY comes true is labelled as 'precognitive' as if that is supposed to have some meaning when the other 1999 times fail.

Exactly how long is a procognitive dream's window of opportunity? If the Grim Reaper comes for her next week or next month, is that still considered a 'hit'?

I've had a precognitive dream, and the one broad generalized detail of the death wasn't what made it precognitive. It was the high amount of details pertaining to the accident. The trees, the falling from the trees, the death. My grandfather fell out of a tree stand.

I should mention that my niece was SO CERTAIN of her dream that she drove home from an out-of-area college in tears to be near her mom.
Let's see, an average lifespan is roughly 28,000 days. However, most people dream of someone older than themselves dying, so let's cut that number in half to 14,000 because their life is half over. If the average person has 3,500 dreams of someone dying who was alive at the time, in their lifetime, then the odds of them being 'right' once in their life is about 1/4 or 25%.
Thems is mighty high odds.

I had a dream the night before that my dad was invovled in a horrific motorcycle crash, but survived with just scratches on his arm. This was a week ago.
...next day at 12 pm, same exact thing happens.

I have dreams (all the time, but rarely a connection is made) about places I have never seen - only to visit them six months or two years later and end up with this wicked deja vu feeling which makes me recall the dream "ahh this is where I was dreaming about".
I have dreamt of the house I'm living in now, two states away, sight unseen. Details after entering the house made me remember the dream vividly. No pictures online, no house descriptions online.. In fact, this house was just listed on the MLS during our flight out. <insert twilight zone music>
Call it what you will - I don't call it anything but entertaining.

Dreams can be tricky, because you're dealing with the subconscious. I suspect the subconscious has a higher state of awareness regarding things like psychic phenomena or precognition. The problem, of course, is that it also holds our fears, doubts, insecurities, neuroses, etc. So, if you dream of someone dying, it could be precognitive, or it could be a manifestation of some deep fear you have. The subconscious also deals with symbols and archetypes, so sometimes the thing you dream about isn't supposed to be literal.

I've always wondered how it could be that one of the most significant events in human history (the attacks of 9/11) were not predicted on a dated internet forum, though there were lots of claims of having dreamed the event on 9/12.
Same for the tsunami... and Katrina... and the two shuttle disasters... and...
