That's pretty amazing, SoY. People don't believe me when I tell them that at the age of 2 or 3 I understood that my parents and the mailman were programmed and I also knew that I would be programmed too and that I would lose contact with my real self.
I would watch my mom and dad busying around like robots and it made me sad that they had to struggle so hard when everything was actually so easy. I remember wanting to tell them or let them know that they didn't have to live like this but I couldn't talk and I also didn't have the moral self righteousness of believing that this was the right thing to do.

I totally agree!

tripping is normal dreaming is normal when the body is held in one position for a while, or when the mind is held in one position for a while, then the feedback cascade begins and signals start fading more slowly.
there is something lovely about the lingering, and love does it as well. the lover's lingering contact, may be brief and light as a butterfly, but the impression endures and layers over what follows.
i have spent a fair bit of time on airplanes lately, but I did medicate first so my experience was "stoned" for a reason.
I do love looking down from a plane and seeing the street/house/tree patterns from the air and they remind me of what I see behind closed lids on salvia.

Sitting in the window seat, especially over the ocean (or an ocean of clouds) is wonderful. Some of my most poignant memories from childhood are of returning from vacations to tropical locations - I loved to just spend hours a day in the ocean. Getting on that plane, sitting and looking out over the undifferentiated expanse of grey water, knowing I was flying back to the sterile grids of suburbia, would fill me with such oceanic sadness.

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that Iāve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I willā and I will have the will, strengthened as Iāll be with contemplation and studyā at the crucial moments Iāll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.ā

"Have you ever reached for a glass figurine, only to knock it over and break it?"
Beautiful metaphor with regard to 'grasping' the fragile and transient!!!
