stomach and spinach

all of a sudden (within the last 5 days) my stomach has not been digesting spinach. I'm buying Dole prewashed, and rinsing thoroughly, don't eat bad leaves, and throw them out at the first smell of bad.
It's messing up my stomach sort of, as I'm almost always regular. Now I'm very sporadic (anywhere from 2-6 times/day)
any idea why this is occurring?

spinach is very fiberous and rigid, some of the toughest greenery to digest. If your not cooking it, look to cilantro and lettuce for your greens. It also has oxalic acid so it may upsept your stomach too.

it's doing this both cooked and raw
I've been eating spinach almost daily since May, and this is the first time this has occurred. it's visisbly spinach, not being broken down
I eat a fair amount of veggies as is, so my body is kind of used to them

could be food poisoning. making your own sprouts is cheaper, healthier and would be almost fool proof as far as quality as long as you watch for mold

I would reccomend Swiss chard and kale. Both extremely nutritious (lettuce? ), and they don't have a nasty, bitter taste, like spinach. Kale is spicy! I hate the celery-like stems of chard, though.

Spinach absolutely does not have a nasty bitter taste. Spinach is delicious.
And it's not very fibrous and rigid either. What nonsense. It's very easy to eat raw, and it's probably easier on your stomach than salad lettuce.
To the op, I don't understand what might be causing your problem. It seems very strange. from what I understand it hasn't been happening in the past to you. Maybe something has changed in your diet that is causing you to feel bad.

Spicy kale? The only Kale I've ever eaten tasted EXACTLY like broccoli, except in leaf form. It was absolutely bizarre.
Then I started burping up the taste and got extremely sick. Guess I'm allergic to kale.

the only kale i've ever tasted is bitter. i break it up into bite sized pieces and put it in stews once everything is cooked and the temperature has gone down to preserve the vitamins and things and the taste isnt so bad as long as you have lots of stuff in the stew. i bet my sister 50 dollars she couldnt eat a piece of kale and luckily since i have no money she didnt

ive done it with olive oil. heat up the oil, pop in the shredded kale and it will instantly soak up all the oil its nuts. ive heard you gotta do it quick or you are toasting all the vitamins/minerals. i like to eat raw but raw kale is really really baddddd

go donate some blood. Im not sure if it will help your problem, but there is iron in spinach, and the only way to get iron out of your body is by losing blood.

The best way to donate blood is to apply to be a security guard at Magneto's prison cell, and have him drain the iron out of you.
