The best value for your dollar is the all american 921 (21.5 Qt, holds 19 pints or 7 quart jars..) one of the best prices I have seen: http://www.appliances.com/apo94921.html also several of the equipment vendors here sell them. They are recognized as the best for this application.. even paul staments's www.fungi.com sells them, although for an exorbitant price.

Walmart also has a presto17 Qt. cooker for like $50 something bucks. I can't remember exactly. That you can do quart jars in and more pints. I wanted to be able to do two cases of 1/2 pint jars at a time at least 10 pint jars and be able to do quart jars too that's why i got the 22qt. Who the hell wants to hang out all night sterilizing jars? Now i can do them all at once. Trust me when you start getting into this your gonna be trading prints and wanting to grow out everything you can get your hands on and a nice big cooker is gonna save you ALOT of work. I've done without for over a year. My wife and kids take all my money so when i saw that cooker today i said fuck it and bought it!! An all American would have been real nice but the cash doesn't stick around that long for me to have to order one online. Something always comes up. At least get a 17 qt. that way you do a bit more jars and be able to do qts. too. They have the pressure guage too which is nice

For those who can make the investment, 921, 925 or 941 AA is worth every penny & will last you & yours 100 years if taken good care of. Time in this life is limited. If you want to spend it doing 3 or 5 jars at a time, hour after hour, day after day, use a little PC with a sealing gasket that wears out & rocker arm weights that cause your place to be permeated with the smell of rye or bird seed steaming off, go for it. If you want to do big batches of jars at once, AA is the way to go. The bigger, the better. Nuff said. SixTango

I wish you the greatest luck in your pressure cooker search. We offer both types of pressure cookers (one with a a rubber seal, and one with a metal to metal seal).
Most importantly, they all come with a warrenty.
