this popped into my head after liquid's thread
anyways, I've been interested in this gathering for about 2 years now and I actually think I have the chance to go this summer and I know a few people who would be down for going, so I think I'm going to plan the trip around spring break and buy the tickets and what not (whoaa bad run on)
so if anyone has went, please enlighten me

I've been to Burning Man several times. Costumes are a must! Bring more water than you can imagine you might need. Bring sunscreen. Bring extra food to share. Burning Man is a community event. In order to have the full experience, you need to open your camping spot to other travelers. Many folks decorate their cars.
Burning Man is an opportunity to try on a new identity, to be someone, something different than you've ever been in the past. If you have a good idea for a performance art piece, you can submit it ahead of time and get on the 'official' program.
There are several types of people who attend Burning Man. You've got the all-out-alchemists who go to party and experience the week in a drug-fueled haze. You've got the looky-lous who don't know what to think and who are afraid of jumping in. And you've got the true wanderers, the artists, who let the earth rise through their feet. It's a strange, strange event.
