So, afoaf is coming back to do a short cultivation cycle after only a year and has experience with PF-Tek's only. He needs to refresh my memory. I was wondering if any of you would be kind enough to help him out. He ponders what are the HIGHEST yielding strain by substrate. As he recall there was some ratio like every 10 lbs of poo and 1 lb of spawn = 1 lb of shrooms? Or maybe it was every 1 lb of spawn to 10 lbs = 1 oz or something along those lines. Thanks in advance, if anyone would mind helping a good bulk tutorial, it would be appreciated deeply :-)

Tell you what, why don't you get your friend to sign up an account and then we can help him directly.

LOL!
And SRQ, with that many posts, you should know how to use the all magical search feature.

It just gets annoying because the posters almost always switch back between first person and third person throughout their posts - as the original poster did here.
----- To the original poster:
The ratios are typically 4:1 or 5:1 as RoadKill mentioned for a spawn run to a bulk substrate and yields are completely dependent upon species, strain, substrain-genetics, environmental conditions and if you've probably sacrificed the proper virgins in the name of the favorite bestiality sex-god...
As for the AFOAF / SWIM stuff, feel free to maintain the pretense as long as you like - we'll endure through it with you but don't think that it actually serves any forum of security purpose...

Don't mistake my tone for a "matter-of-fact" attitude. I'm just presenting what I believe to be correct, until I'm corrected... - How Myco-Curious Prepares Coir & Compost Substrates - How Myco-Curious Builds A Bulk Humidifier - How Myco-Curious Builds An Automated Greenhouse ------------------------------------ figgusfiddus said: Keep in mind that inoculating or whatever in front of a flow hood won't help your bad substrate, your bad inoculant, your bad sterile procedure, etc. etc. etc. It's not a +3 flowhood of magic, it's just a tool.

Truthfully, it isn't so much the immediate effects that bothers me. It's the fact that this can be traced for ever. For ever is a very long time in my book. Although I know production is closely relative to environmental factors, would anyone mind throwing a tek link at me, as I really don't have enough time to search every tek for answers. I know a talented bunch of a cats like you know what's up.

Ah ha! At last, I've discovered the disease which prevents people from seeing/using the search feature! I call it: failure-to-search disease, or FTS for short.
Symptoms for people with FTS disease include: -Asking stupid questions which can be answered through 5 minutes of searching -Being rude to people who tell those with FTS to use the search button -Being annoying
The cure: The only cure to FTS disease is to use the search button. Failure to do so could result in: -Flamming -Wasting time

I find the shroomery search engine to be some what of an annoyance. Although it's useful on some things, I don't like the interface. So suck my balls. I've been here for over 2 years, you think I don't know how it works?

How about a UTFSE/FAQ forum?
Any threads asking questions that have been asked a million times (per the moderators' discretion) could be moved to this forum.
Perhaps this has been proposed before...maybe I should have used the search engine to check...:)
