I hardly read any of that but I switched to apple a year and a half ago and have loved it since hardly any tech problems + I strongly disagree, all the times I've used their customer service (via phone talking to some one) or going to the genius bar to get something repaired, they were extremely friendly unlike every other customer service/support in the world and they fixed it in a timely manor without even asking why or how it happened, no hassle involved
hope you get your shit or whatever though

Apple is for people that have to own a flashy and hip computer or for those that aren't good with computers altogether. They are EXTREMEMLY overpriced by comparison to PC's with similar specs.
(This comment excludes those who use apples for music/video editing...I will admit that they have the best out there in these departments)

Why can't you find another mac to get the work done on in the meantime? Also, if they've been so bad with the dates, telling you it's on its way when it isn't, you really have no reason to believe that it will show up on the 12th either, and should really count on it not. If they've kept lying to you that it's on its way, ant it's risking your carreer, can't you threaten them with court action? Tell them to send you a replacement pc pronto.

Yeah, don't risk everything on assuming it will be there on the 12th. Gotta find another option.

Keep believing they are overpriced until you take one apart. Apple notebooks and IMacs are about the most amazingly engineered pieces of machinery I've ever worked on.
The quality of their notebooks is well beyond any other that I've seen. And this is coming from the proud owner of a 4 year old 1ghz Powerbook.
The price is well understood once you see the work that goes into these things. They aren't just thrown together from crap ass parts like every other computer I've seen.

Interesting idea. But which crap ass parts in another computer are that much better in an Apple?
