Remember, Remember the 5th of November

Today is the day for the big donation drive...even if it's just a few bucks
you should definitely show up and chip in if you can afford it.

The numbers look pretty strong.

Spread the word!

I'm not a Ron Paul supporter - I like some of his ideas, but not most. I don't want him to be president.

I am seriously dissatisfied with the war, with the erosion of civil liberties and increasingly powerful executive, and with the completely lame selection of candidates in both parties, so I've donated a few bucks purely as a protest - if Ron Paul can bring his ideas into the public debate, and if we can force some recognition of our high level of overall dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in politics, that will be worth my money.

that's pretty much why I support him. I've heard some things about his trade polic that seem a little weird, but don't really care.

All my presidential and governor votes tend to be protest votes anyways. Maybe one day enough people will vote their concious to where we will have to change the election system to recognize other parties and allow runoff voting of some kind.

I'm voing ron paul in primary, and then we'll see at the general election... either write in paul or go with the libertarian.

Eventually the dems and repubs gotta see the amount of votes their losing due to disatisfaction with the current equivalencies between them. Some day...

http://video1.washingtontimes.com/dinan/2007/11/ron_pauls_cash_flow.html

now over 3 million!

"His campaign said his 12-hour total was $1.9 million — what they said was the most successful online fundraising day of any candidate in either party this year, and the most successful of any GOP candidate ever. (John Kerry holds the one-day record, raising $5.6 million on July 29, 2004, during the Democratic nomination convention.)"

I hope the MSM gives him a little coverage on the results today.

Love to see him pass up Kerry’s record!

Thats 7 1/4 mil. since October 1st. However he did set an impressive GOP fundraising record at around 4.2 mil. in 24 hours.

Well, let me tell you something, if the funds were diverted into politics, Ron Paul would instantly be the top-tier candidate. :smirk:

Seriously though, I don't think there is that much profit involved.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308404,00.html

His site reflects slightly different numbers....35,000 donors
and 3.7 million...but it could be out of date.

most news sources are reporting more.

unfortunately he's still not getting much coverage on the front pages
of the major news sites.

he's a text only link on Foxnews.com

yep

Where Ron Paul’s money comes from.

Number of Ron Paul donors per capita by state, from original research done by Patrick Ruffini. The redder the state, the higher the number of donors per capita

"This really is a Western movement, with some of the Northeast thrown in. Basically, these are the places where you would expect libertarians to be strong. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a data set this good about the state-by-state strength of libertarianism. And the data gets more reliable every day .

The Paul movement is weakest in the Deep South and the Ohio River Valley. Ohio (and surprisingly New York) are Paul’s weakest big states.

The differences are also fairly dramatic. One is 4 times more likely to be a Ron Paul donor in Nevada than in Mississippi. And more than twice as likely in blue Washington state than in blue New York. Alaska and Hawaii, which are not on the map, would also be colored the darkest shade of red."
