I did not want to unsticky this thread, however, this is the Mushroom Hunting Forum, and I feel that the thread has served it's purpose- which is to alert those who knew him of the tragedy.

Letting this thread sink, I will not let our friend disappear from my thoughts.  Yet, I have a responsibility to keep this forum orderly, and this thread cannot remain on top forever.
However, the overwhelming number of posts this thread has collected, certainly keeps it from sinking off the page.

gmuralid, I have sent PMs to coons wife, and PMs to those shroomerites who met him personally, in attempt to extend our best wishes, and find out if there is anything any of us could do to help his family.  I have not received any replies yet.

Haven't forgotten you, Gym master.

Oh my goodness. I was curious as to what happened with coon's where abouts. Good Lord!

This area is a rough one for heroin. This isn't the first case by any means in my years of life that i've seen good people end up getting killed by this terrible drug.

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to an old friend about this and that on the phone. A few names came up and he informed me that a particular guy had died in his front lawn from heroin. He had been clean for a few months and my buddy simply assumed that he had taken for granted the power of the heroin in this area and had overdosed. He had prolly taken amounts he was used to when he was strung out. He had over done it, wandered out of his house into the front yard and died nearly instantly. A neighbor saw him while going to his lawn work, ran over and he was already dead stiff. People, if there's any advice I can give you that's sound, don't fuck around with heroin or oxy. I've lost a many of good friends to the both of those drugs. Steer clear of them both. Life's too good and you only get one chance at it.

Rest in peace coon. Blowing kisses to you and your loved ones man!

opiates in general serve there purpose in this world. Its abuse that is dangerous. However with such a drug with such incredibly potiential for abuse its better to stay away from doing it recreationally. Drugs get the better of people sometimes, this is a perfect example of an awesome human being, being taken down by the powers of dopiates. :hulk:
