Don't have one, it's a scam.

I heard the guy that owns Progressive is a supporter of the Drug Policy Alliance or some similar group.

so yeah, been meaning to switch to them.

My friend (who happens to be a professional race car driver), refuses to buy insurance and instead prints up his own little 'insurance card' to show the cops if he gets pulled over.

This has never come back to haunt him even though he's been doing it for years. He says, "Why should I pay for insurance when its always the other guy's fault?"

Once you exercise this freedom you've lost all control over what you do, what is produced, and how it is produced. And in the end, the product doesn't belong to you. The only way you can avoid bosses and jobs is if you don't care about making a living. Which leads to the second freedom: the freedom to starve."

So for those of you without insurance, what do you plan to do if you get in an accident?

pull a mexican:

hop out of your car, say: "You do something, I do nothing."

then speed off before they get a chance to write down your license plate number.

Geico.

It only seems to pay off to call insurance a scam and never have any when you are young and dumb.

I didn't have insurance for years. I used to make my own insurance cards, which got me out of a shitload of trouble. I've handed my fraudulent insurance cards to cops, judges, school officials and tax assessors. I thought when i got in a wreck, i'd just take off(which is stupid, since its a felony that doesn't get you high).

Well, there is a damn good chance your car will be disabled in a wreck. Which is what happened the first time i had an accident. I would've been screwed if i didn't immediately call my mom's insurance company and put me on her policy that day (haha, fuck you insurance company). The guy i rear ended got 10k.

Ever since that moment i kept liability insurance on every vehicle i've owned. Not having insurance will never pay out in real life. One wreck will destroy 10 years of savings on insurance premiums.

"To do right is to know what you want. Now when you are dissatisfied with yourself it's because you are after something you don't really want. What objects are you proposing to yourself? Are they the objects you really value? If they are not, you are cheating yourself. I don't meant that if you chose to pursue the objects you most value, you will attain them; of course not. Your experience will tell you that. But success in getting after much labor what you really don't care for is the bitterest and most ridiculous failure." -George Santayana

I didnt get in much trouble, I'm pretty good dealing with cops and the fucked up thing is I did have a legit binder for the premium in full, the company in fact did turn out to be a fraud. I got really lucky and only ended up paying about $500 in fines and 15 days in work release

my state now has everything interconnected, as soon as you lapse or drop your
insurance it can be pulled by the cops if you're stopped, they suspend you
license and tags and you do go to jail, the fake cards dont work anymore

I have several carriers, Geico for one truck, Farm Bureau for another truck and
the boat, Allstate for the car, if any of them would give me reasonable fleet
coverage I'd be set and progressive is a bitch to collect payment from
