if you were going to pick one of these cars...

If you could only choose one, which one would it be:
2005 Mercedes-Benz C240 Sedan 4MATIC 2005 Audi A4 4dr Sdn 1.8T quattro Auto 2005 BMW 325xi AWD Sedan 2005 Acura TSX 4dr Sdn AT Navi 2005 Acura TL 4dr Sdn AT Navigation System 2006 Lexus IS 350 4dr Sport Sdn Auto
The Lexus is a bit out of the price range, but worth considering.
Here's some pics:
 Mercedes
 Audi
 BMW
 Acura TSX
 Acura TL
 Lexus
Price does play a factor. Here's the projected cost for each: Mercedes: $24,000 Audi: $22,000 BMW: $22,000 Acura TSX: $20,000 Acura TL: $24,000 Lexus: $31,000
Most important factors: Interior luxury/comfort. Value. Styling. Performance. Efficiency.
So if you had to choose one, which one would it be?
Consider you would be using your own money. I know the Lexus is the most expensive, but does it offer the best value?
It's for my son's graduation from graduate school by the way. He gave me this list and told me to pick one.
I have until next summer to decide.

I've always been intrigued by TLs. Never driven one though

I picked the BMW, but I would feel like a tool driving any of those. Scrap the list and buy him a car with some character.
Not even Mr. Clean could wipe the grin off my face if my dad pulled up in something like that and said it was mine.

I picked the Audi. I absolutely love them. My second choice would be the Beamer. They just seem like the two best choices for someone who is younger. Don't get me wrong, I'd take any of them, but I just would rather have one of those two.

INTERIORS:
Mercedes C240 +/- $24,000

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Audi A4 +/- $22,000

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BMW 325 +/- $22,000

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Acura TSX +/- $18-20,000

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Acura TL +/- $24,000

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lexus IS350 +/- $31,000+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hmmm..... it's a tough one. I like the mercedes, I like the acura TL too. The lexus is probably just too pricey and nothing too special to warrant the price. The beamer is nice too.
hmmm....
I think the TL has a slight edge over the mercedes right now... the TL has navigation and a cooler design I think. it has nice performance numbers too... tough damn choice.
oh, and I am accepting foster children applications. you'll have to earn your keep though. each kid must provide at least 50,000 pounds of nice horse manure to earn their keep.

the Acura TL is pretty sick though

Yup... that's about where I'm sitting right now. The TL has more features and is a bit more well appointed than the benz. The lexus is too new and too pricey really. I think he added that knowing I wouldn't go for it, but then it makes the other ones look more affordable.
Maybe I'll buy both the Mercedes and the TL and just keep one. I drive a 2001 american car with over 110,000 miles on it. damn kids and their damn college. I didn't pay for the schooling, so this is my contribution to it all I suppose. A promise that needs to be kept.

Go with the 325xi, or even better, the 335xi.
I will be in an awd bmw in a few months hopefully, but a 88 325ix.

I drive an '04 330xi. Love it. If your getting an AWD make it a 30 not a 25. You loose power when you get an AWD. Of course if you can afford it go for an E92 335xi. MMMMMM

Cheapest ones to own should be the acuras and the lexus... if I were to choose I would probably go with the lexus. I am not a fan of mercedes... bmw isnt bad, but I would have to say the lexus would be my first choice.

Mercedes: Unreliable overpriced cars. Audi: Not bad. My boyfriend drives an '03 A4 3.0 Quattro. Had a couple problems. But not a bad car. BMW: Great car. and good gas millage. Rated for 30mpg highway, I can do better if I try. Also great warranty/maintenance plan. Acura TSX: Acura TL: Both of these are ugly. If I were to get a nice car, it would not be an Acura. Lexus: I haven't heard anything bad about this car. Lexus and BMW are the top two in residual value. So you can keep the largest percent of your money by buying one of these brands.

I would definitely pick the Audi. I mean, drive a WV to experience the markmanship.
Repairs on Audis are exceedingly high. Keep that in mind.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Im torn between voting for the Mercedez and the Audi (Im not a BMX fan).
I believe teh Mercedez is faster due to a larger engine, but this also comes with less MPGs. And the was gas prices are going, might as well stick with the Audi...
In the end its all great German craftsmanship (Screw Lexus! Pretty though it may be...)
