What's with the noobies as admins?

Seriously. There are admins on here that haven't even been registered for a year to these forums, and they've got full power. AND on top of that I've been seeing a SHITLOAD more complaints in IRC about admin abuse on the forums in the past year.
Hmmm.

royer9864,this ban for one: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7439310#7439310 was a bit harsh. The guy wasn't trying to make a profit. Besides whats the point of having a market place if not to make at least the cost of shipping back. FurrySheep even said he'd pay for shipping but got banned without warning for doing so.

That's a mod, not an admin, and there were other problems with that user IIRC

I'd have edited and changed it to mods/admins, but it was too late. So for now just imagine the title said mods/admins, whatever, people of authority.

As for me, the one who made the post, I'm just connecting pieces together, new admins and lots of complaints, I'm just making note of it. did you want me to have some other ulterior motives?

I agree, there are some newbie mods, I just figured they were either really well known and liked or some kind of admin's friend.

I don't know where you are getting this about new admins... we haven't added any admins in a long, long time. New moderators are generally nominated by existing moderators. Although the admin makes the final decision, there is usually a good period of debate among the moderators and their opinion weighs heavily on our final decision. Every now and then an admin will mod somebody without debate, but that happens very rarely. If you have a problem with a specific moderator, then you should open a support ticket and document the issue. If you have a problem with the admin, then there are plenty of other sites out there to choose from.
