Creating Moving Avatars

Well as the name says, I'm looking for some info about how to make a avatar that moves, a avatar that does the same action over and over in a loop.
There is this video on Youtube, which I can also get in other places, that I want to edit and make it into my avatar.
Is there any online guides on how to do this? If anyone can help please post or PM me.
Thanks.

Animated images are called animated GIFs. There are programs that convert video to GIF; I don't know of any, off-hand, though.

You can do it with Imageready. There's an option to take a section of a video and convert it into slides of a GIF. I don't have Imageready right now though so I can't remember exactly how to do it.

I got fed up with avatars, so I turned them off (Check "No" for View users' pictures with posts? in Preferences)

thats the piece of software I made mine with.
please note on the link I posted there is a serial number that you must enter to make it full version
-------------------- "America touts itself as the land of the free, but the number one freedom that you and I have is the freedom to enter into a subservient role in the workplace. Once you exercise this freedom you've lost all control over what you do, what is produced, and how it is produced. And in the end, the product doesn't belong to you. The only way you can avoid bosses and jobs is if you don't care about making a living. Which leads to the second freedom: the freedom to starve." - Tom Morello
