Appetite Stimulants

Over the course of the past 6 or 7 months my weight has been gradually decreasing. I went almost 180 pounds to about 145 pounds (weight I'm roughly at right now). I've been stressed out about school and family stuff, running around like crazy, and working. Substance abuse in between also didn't help, either.
I'm at the point where I've trained my body to not want food, it's almost painful to eat. Just getting a couple bites down takes way longer than it should, because my body just denies it. I need to get back on a regular schedule, start eating right, and exercising again. But before I start lifting weights and exercising I need to get my body to accept food.
Does anyone know of any appetite stimulants? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
(No, marijuana doesn't count as one )

Based on everything you've said, it's almost as if you're using some sort of speed.
Do you use uppers alot? Caffeine derivatives possibly?
Smoking crystal meth?

instead of looking for other substances to cure your problem maybe you could work out to stimulate your appetite..after a hard work out its pretty hard to not be hungry..
it sounds like your stimulant abuse led to this problem and other drugs might not be the way out...besides pot

The problem is, to have the energy to work out I need to get some food in me. Otherwise, I'm too weak/lethargic to do anything. I also know, though, that to work up an appetite and get energy I need to work out. It's a vicious cycle, and I truly think that if I used an appetite stimulant as a boost just to get my body going I could easily break the cycle.
Once I broke the cycle and got back on my feet I could gradually begin to stop using the appetite stimulant as a crutch. Marijuana is an option, but I'd rather find an alternative.

I can't eat on speed.
I just cannot do it.
I lose so much weight when I'm using alot of amphetamines, because just the act of chewing and swallowing food is impossible.
I dont think there is a cure, other than less blow.

what exactly are your reasons for alternatives to pot? its probably the best choice for your condition...do you fear failing a drug test because our society has criminalized something for profit? do you fear the social stigma?...
i cant understand why someone posting at the shroomery would fear marijuana use...especially self-mediacated use

Apparently you read my post which said "Marijuana is an option, but I'd rather find an alternative. " and saw "Marijuana is an option, but I'm just so scared of what everyone will think of me if I do it." Get real, I have my reasons; one being that I tend to be very lazy when I smoke and don't get anything done. At this point in time I really can't afford to sit around and get nothing done, hence the reason I was using stimulants in the first place and got myself into this little mess.
I have no "fear" of marijuana or "social stigma". Come on, now. Are you for real....?

Stop doing stims. If I take so much as 8mg of ephedrine, it absolutely obliterates my appetite. If you're tweaking or even just drinking an energy drink from time to time, it'll definitely stave appetite. Especially on top of the stress and substance abuse from the past.

Stop taking stimulants.
Oh, I was going to suggest smoking pot, since it's the best and most natural appetite stimulant in the world that I can think of.. but since you said don't suggest pot, I wont.
Any of the following herbs, drunk as a tea, will stimulate the appetite: Barberry, Black Currant Chicory, Dandelion, French Sorrel, Garlic, Ginseng, Goldenseal, Ground Ivy, Hops, Horseradish, Mugwort, Oatstraw, Parsley, Safflower, Tarragon, Thyme, Wood Sorrel, Watercress, Yarrow. Drink Cranberry juice or eat the fruit. A thiamine deficiency is often the cause of a loss of appetite. Take a thiamine supplement along with B-complex, vitamin A, zinc, niacin, and biotin. These work well together and help in the assimilation of the thiamine. Drink Peppermint tea to help increase the appetite. Eat Cayenne pepper to increase and stimulate digestion. Cayenne (or any pepper with large amounts of capsicum) are the best herbal stimulants known to man. Except they are actually good for the heart, as opposed to say, speed.

Start slamming nutritional supplement drinks. Maybe you can't eat but surely you can chug a can of liquid right?

I was looking at that, it's active ingredients mimic the effects of cannabinoids! That looks like it would be awesome (If it's not a scam, you never know) I'll look into it
