what should I do with my colonized bag + jars, input wanted!!
    #7592662 - 11/03/07 09:35 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

ok so I started my second grow like 2 months ago and sadly it was kind of a disaster
my first grow last winter went better. this time around I used rye and cased it straight. I had a problem with gnats and the yields were horrible.
so this is my second time around using rye
I have one 4 pound bag + 6 pint jars colonizing with orrisa india ATM
at the end of my second attempt disaster I tried spawning to coir twice with failure resulting both times. maybe because I used probably a 1/6 ratio of sub. to spawn

sooo when these things are colonized what should I do to ensure a good yield?? I really want to do it right this time and play it safe to get a decent yield.

I was thinking spawn to coir with the 4 pound bag in casing dishes with like a 1/3 ratio and then casing the rye directly from the jars just Incase the spawn doesn't work out

what should I do to ensure a decent yield???

few things to add - when hydrating coir I plan on soaking to saturation point (squeeze and a few drops of water drip) and then pasteurizing in oven in jars
anddd once my second attempt failed I cleaned my whole area and there is no longer a gnat issue

if you got through all this thanks for reading and would love to hear what you think
