I knock up my jars in a still air glove box in my kitchen. Today I found white mold on a loaf of bread in my kitchen, I have three questions.
1. Can eating bread with white mold on it hurt me? 2. Can having white mold in the same room as were I Knock up my jars effect my contam rate. 3. what kind of mold is it?

You'll probably just get sick, if you're not dead by now I wouldn't worry about it.

An old buddy of mine was baked and ate almost a whole muffin before noticing it was almost all green, and moldy, he was in a car in the dark. What a dumbass, haha.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. Also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you?

What do you guys think makes blue cheese blue? http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mbluecheese.html
Most molds are white before they sporulate. The fact that it's white is a good indication it didn't spread to any projects, but you still shouldn't inoculate in the kitchen. It's the nastiest room in the house for bacteria and molds. Bathrooms are second nastiest. RR

I have always used my bathroom to do semi-sterile work. I've never had a jar contaminate.
Although I do clean the bathroom obsessively, and run a HEPA-style filter for an hour, and spray Oust! before actually doing any work in there.
