Bjork
    #7592264 - 11/03/07 07:45 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

So I've seen that a couple people on here have had Bjork in their avatars. And I just noticed that one of my good friends has her listed in his musical interests on his myspace. Anyway, I always thought she seemed a bit eccentric but I just picked up her album Volta (I guess it's her newest one) and I think it's really good. Maybe her being eccentric is the reason I should have started listening to her stuff a while ago.

Can anybody recommend another particular album of hers that's really good? I think her singing style is pretty unique. At times it kinda seems more like spoken word but it's good. I like it. What else should I listen to?

i wouldnt recommend medulla until you know her other work. pick up Post, Homogenic, and Selmasong

if you like those, get Vespertine and Medulla

Meh, skip Selmasong, I don't know, I just never got involved in it as much as I did with other Bjork abums

I like the drawing restraint 9 soundtrack. Volta is not too shabby either.

I'm sitting here listening to the remix of Possibly Maybe from Telegram. It's fucking weird but cool. Actually syncs up really well with ts7's avatar, heh.

I just read another thread about her new album where a couple people said they were disappointed with it. So, seeing as how I thought it was pretty good, I guess I'll be that much more pleased with her other stuff.
