Had to use gloves to crumble birdseed when putting into substrate

Is this ok? It was pretty solid, and scraping it out with the spoon resulted in large chunks that had to be broken up by hand. Wondering if this is ok, contamination wise, knowing that the spoon was sterilized, and the gloves most likely were not by the time they got put on(even though they were, in the box..)

I almost exclusively use that method. I get a very large glass mixing bowl, sanitize it and the gloves I'm wearing. I get a very sharp long knife, (sanitized of course), and start cutting into the WBS. Once it's half ass crumbled it pours out of the jar. Once my jars are empty, I start crumbling the hell out of it with my hands. I get it back to where it's almost back to individual grains. Then I spawn to bulk. Nothing wrong with that.

Cool. Ended up only using 8 quarts of subtrate. And 3 qts birdseed. Hopefully it's enough, it only totalled out to maybe 3 or 3.5 inches, and is layered.

For the next run it will be 4 qts birdseed and 13 qts subtrate (30% b-seed)

We'll see how it goes, either way there'll be some motherfucking mushrooms!!!!!
