all his friends dried up and rotted before they could mature, poor fellow... seriously in need of some of the wet stuff here...


oh i did find one of his friends close by... little friend...

found in my parents garden amongst some old birch trees.

my cats watching on... thinking "wot the fuck is he doing down there on his knees?"

thanks cactu... yes they are my cats, just taking a vacation at my parents place right now... good life for them in the woods, lots of mice to catch  they may become my dads cats when his finally goes to kitty heaven (its 21 years old!) so wont be long...

these had a very interesting texture indeed, almost like wool!


i guess its a pholiota, growing from an ash tree.

lol no i dont collect them, they are growing in my parents garden and my old man uses tons of chemicals on his lawn (mushrooms concentrate toxins) so even if i was intereted in eating them i wouldnt eat these particular ones, id go to some of my other remote spots and pick them.
keep forgetting to bring my camera here also, i'll get some better shots if i ever remember to bring my own camera with me

yep, no way im going to pick amanitas for consumption from my parents lawn... not when i have a pristine habitat like the pics below where i can pick them if i ever wanted to consume any (which i dont)

The white amanita with the scales looks to be an amanita cokeri. Very prett mushroom.
