This isn't meant as a debate, I was just wonderin which side politically yall were on. Me, I'm a mixture of both left and right really, but leaning a tad more to the right. I repeat, no debating please! It'll just end up with everyone at eachothers throats.

Some of my beliefs could be categorized as extreme Left-Wing. Some of my other beliefs could be categorized as extreme Right-Wing. I don't fit into any ideological belief system. My beliefs are based upon my own thoughts and experiences, not someone elses. Fuck ideologies.

I believe that liberty is the highest political ideal, anything else would involve using the state to initiate force against your fellow human beings in order to achieve your political goals.
To paraphrase Bastiat, the moral test of any law is whether it enables the state to perform an act which would be a crime for a private citizen. Examples:
- If you have no right to rob your neighbor, you have no right to ask the state to tax him for your purposes.
- If you have no right to enslave another, you have no right to ask the state to institute the draft.

I believe in personal freedoms, the right for one to do whatever they like as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
I also believe that citizens should be taxed to fund health care, education, and various other programs, which should be available for free. I think everyone should have the right to equally good health care and education, no matter what their financial situation is to start out with.

Ah. So people have the right to do whatever they like EXCEPT to keep their hard-earned money.
I think everyone should have the right to equally good health care and education, no matter what their financial situation is to start out with.
Why stop there? Why not increase taxes to the point where they'll provide free housing (and free energy to heat the housing), free food, free shoes and clothing for everyone? Clearly food and protection from the elements are even MORE fundamentally necessary to life than education or health care -- no one can argue that.

what is my incentive to work hard and try to better my lot in life if I know some feel good liberals are going to come along and latch on to as much of my hard earned cash as they can to buy votes by pretending to help those who don't want to work as hard to get ahead?
If you want to give more of your money, feel free. Don't try to spend mine at the same time.
