like everyone said, obviously the video excluded those with the right answers, but i wonder what proportion of the people actually questioned did answer with relative intelligence.

Okay, I assume these people most likely went to school, live in a decent home and have access to TV, maybe the Internet, at least a library.... there is just no excuse! They would get laughed out of my country!

How many hours worth of people giving the right answers did they have to go through to put together that few minutes worth of video?
Also in the defense of those that actually made it in the video, it's very easy to get clammed up when you have a camera and microphone thrust in your face and are asked to answer a question. Even a relatively simple question can be damn near impossible to answer correctly when you are put on the spot like that.

meh... everyone seems to be operating under the delusion that "America" (i'd love for someone to define exactly what that is, btw) is controlling the world. Such a lie... America is a puppet of the real powers in the world. The American military has nothing to do with the American people, except that they serve and die in it. It has everything to do with serving a body of power that lies beyond the borders of the U.S.
America's power is a facade, a ruse. It's a giant scapegoat. But as we see, its inhabitants are generally not concerned with anything of actual relevance to global realities.

It's a funny clip. You guys are taking this waaaaay too seriously. You need to chill out, laugh, move on.
It's not a political statement. It's YouTube.

thanks, but i'm plenty chilled out.
it's funny to me in a "i can't believe this is reality" kind of way. truth often provokes laughter. and disbelief... and
I was mainly referring to the commentator who introduced the clip and made the comment about "America" controlling the world.

Hence one of the reasons why the rest of the world is leery of America now. Americans largely don't pay attention to foreign affairs.
They did, however, pick the dumbest of the dumb I think to actually put in the show. They probably interviewed several people that asked questions correctly for each dumbass, but I could be wrong.
When I travel abroad I'm tired of explaining why we have so many dumbshits in this country and why we elected George W. Bush and why most Americans don't pay attention to the rest of the world etc. We used to have a good reputation dammit

You can thank the American Public Education System for this one, that and Television. Most people are just a bunch of drones that couldn't tell you left from right. Not that we're all that stupid, it's just our society that has pounded in our heads over and over - real wisdom is unimportant.. the only thing that matter is materialism and CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME.
Bahhh bahhh bahhh
Books? Library? Are you joking? Most people in America don't read, unless its the newspaper or a billboard. And we know what Thomas Jefferson said about newspapers... And the internet is only for porn, everyone knows that.

It's really kind of depressing when some of our citizens that are considered mentally stable don't know these things even if it is a small sample of the most ignorant. I could never understand how some folks concern themselves more with soap operas and american idol than what's really happening around us.
Eh, I didn't mean to go overboard with generalizing.
