Keeping syringe sterile

Hey guys, I've got a 20ml plunger and an 18 gauge needle, problem is they're in separate packets. I'm approaching my first inoculation and I was wondering, if I just attach the needle to the plunger in my glovebox will that be sterile enough?
Or is there some extra precaution I should go to? Cheers.

That should be good enough, But I like to keep the needle in a alcohol soaked cotton roll.

ya just soak everything in alcohol, and spray anti-bacterial shit everywhere. If you're gonna wait a month to see results from 5 minutes of work, make sure the 5 min of work is done with extra care
and, when injecting the needle into the top of the jar, do it through a couple pads of alcohol paper placed atop the can as well, or a cotton ball w/ alcohol or something.

I have read somewhere about using an alcohol soaked sponge as a needle guard, seems like a really good idea, keeps the needle clean between inocs. Flame the needle sterile first then use a soaked peice of sponge and cover the needle with it, seem slike a great method. Im going to be using that with my next inoculations in conjuction with a glovebox.
But yeah, when u put the needle onto the syringe, in the glove box, after you have used it, flame the needle red hot, wipe with alcohol soaked pad then put the pastic needle cap on.
Leave in the frigde, next time u use, sterile procedure in the glove box, flame needle wipe with alchole and inoc away.
Its all in the teks

i wipe or dip in alchol and then light the needle on fire and wait till it burns out, or just use a lighter until you can see that it is red hot, but let it cool for a long enough time because you will kill the spores because of the heat.
