Found these the other day in some wood chips. Location-California central valley, 60+ miles from the coast
spore print- Should be purple since the spors on the the stem are purple.
Smell-funky
Taste-shitty
stem-white
Bruising-yes, even the gills
pellicle-yes

Hmmm, so the Bay Area does have Fibs. Interesting!!
I think these are distinct from the "Friscosa" and "cyclone" collections, as those tend to blue more intensely, and I have not heard or seen them to have a pellicle.
Nice.

Fibs = Psilocybe Cyanofibrilosa right?
i'd do a spore print to make sure but it would seem that you have actives, yes.
(spore print for cyanofibrilosa = purple-brown)

You found these east of the coastal range?
I didn't think there were any active woodlovers on this side of the hills.

Location is Central Valley, not Bay Area.
I'm guessing these were transplanted from another area.

P. cyanofibrillosa sounds good for now. Keep some samples around for microscopic analysis in case it turns out to be Psilocybe tahoe.
