Casing pictures.

Whats up guys, this is my first grow, and have a couple a questions.
First off here are the pictures. I was curious if the ones circled in black are aborts.

I know cant really tell on these pictures as they are kinda blurry, but I was wondering if they are aborts? The strain is Amazon, grown on BRF cakes, cased to jiffy mix.

Nice job on the grow! And those don't look like aborts to me. If the heads start turning a deep black, that's when you know they're aborting. They look like fresh pins on there way to growing up.

Oooooh ooooh... I didn't notice that. Unless that's a really weird camera glitch or something, it does look pretty nasty... Damn.. :/

The casing wall is a reflection but what that was a dusty mister (dust inside the mister, forgot to wash it out), it hasn't spread, and hasn't done much of anything besides hinder the growth in that particular area. It doesn't smell it doesn't do anything besides sit there and look green.

The dust probably contaminated it, as you notice none of the other mycelium has been affected, and only that piece because it was the first mycelium to break through the casing layer and recieved the brunt of the dusty mister (as well as 3 other of my casings, but whatever) and as you see now I still use the same mister after washing it out and nothing has happened to the other mycelium. As well as nothing really going on with the green spot, it just seemed to starve/choke/kill the mycelium, whichever seems more suiting.

hrmm.. I can see some aborts in the top left photo. Im surprised noone's seen it. Yes those are aborts on the first picture circled. The heads are turning blackish and you should probably pick them asap! Hopefully thats not a contam that im seeing. (not the green shit, but the blackening of the heads) I would have personall picked those bitches before the veils broke and didnt touch any shrooms even near your green mold. Be safe man.

and possibly spread thousands of mold spores throughout the air.

I cant and I wont come to grips with it being contaminated, NEVARRRR! I kid, but damn.. If it has spread them in the air wouldn't they all be getting flubbed up? I can still eat my little pinners that aborted life right?

Alright, have picked the biggest of the 2 aborts in the top left of the first photo. The other seemed to not be black, but there was also another little tiny guy hidden under that big ol spurt of mushies in that first photo, that has been picked as well..

Have picked the boomers that have broken their veil in the first picture, waiting on the rest to follow suit. Any recommendations on how to 'dunk' a casing of jiffy mix without drowning the sh*t?

put it in a sink or bathtub and slowly let water run into it and fill it up and run over the top for an hr or so. you might have to weigh the casing down with something though

And the jiffy mix wont get sopping ass wet, and run over the sides like a mud slide?
