Excellant! You're right, it probably would. Soo...looks like I would either have to lug a bunch of fruit and a battery operated juicer with me, or juice everything at home and just bring along, which wouldn't be as fresh...
I'm sure I'll figure something out. Rum...mmmm...What other liquors go well with fruit? I'm not well versed on liquor.

You'll get searched half-assed. You are going to have 3 days of gear, use your head and don't have a bowl torching with open beers and you'll be fine.
KC has brought up a good issue, you can get all your stuff taken and even get fined for selling stuff with out being a vendor.
I personally have a job and haven't even tried to sell stuff in years.

It's usually good to get there early. With 10KLF you get your pick of camp site so it's good to get there early. At Bonnaroo they tell you where to camp and really cram you in. They do "search" your car, basically take a quick peak. They're mostly looking for glass bottles, which are not allowed but lots of people disregard that rule.

Yeah, I doubt I'll have to sell anything. I have a steady job and can be prepared for this. Maybe the fresh fruit juices and rum will be for me and friends.

They tell you when it will open so it doesn't hurt to try and get there a couple hours before it opens to get in line early in the morning. You'll end up in a long line of cars but it's worth the extra effort.

Can you judge a thug? Can you read shady eyes... I will admit I've been minorly burned by lot-scum but I was half tossed when it happened. Don't buy pressed pills, know the sheets on tour if you are looking for LSD, mushrooms should be easy to spot, pot also, white powders are always sketchy unless you can spot fine cocaine from miles away
KC, count me in for 10k.... I'm heavily considering the voyage to jazz fest.

You should consider Chicago's Jazz Fest or Blues Fest. I've never been but everyone tells me it's a great time. We can stay with the Jew.

You have to realise the mass amounts of festival goers that live near by and have jobs... They aren't going to take an extra day off... A lot of people are traveling and can't make it early.. Traffic gets backed up terribley at odd times and it's hard to guess what'll take to get in... Usually traffic has been fun for me but I never got into 8 hour nightmares unless I was going home and went thru Chicago.
I'm still pround I was one of the first 100 cars at the first bonnaroo

just be low key have fun bot dont make yourself an obvious center of drunen or other intoxicated atention. at the oregon country fair this past summer, i saw a guy get shook down and man handeled by the owner of the farm we where campig on. the guy was i guess just smoking out i public on the main drd wit his hug zip and the farer dude rolling by on his golf cart just pounced on this guy with his goldent retrever (not literaly) but he did grab him and drag him to the porta potty and make hm depoit his stash, the hard way. he let the guy stay but he checked back on them again im sure.
as for me i had a well wooded spot with tapestries and tents covering my doings so i was in the clear. dont be disrespectful and try to stay in your own movie

Not sure of exact dates but Blues fest is always around Memorial Day at the start of summer and Jazz Fest is always around Labor Day at the end of summer. The quality of acts is always A+.
Is it summer yet?

We sat at the gate behind 60-70 others & wondered, WTF? Why isn't this moving ? Then a cop came and said we were far to early and would be there for 10 hours. A few minutes later some bum came by looking for a ticket, said he had 150$ and that is what we had payed, we talked a bit and smoked a bowl, he said he had 150$ for the entire show... We sold the ticket for 75$, wonder if he was full of it? Who cares... Shortly after we started creeping in and arrived in what now is the park area, right beside mainstage. All the tents were open and only the mainstage had fences and security, total free-for all.

Like...the ones you wouldn't want to miss.
theres too amny, and depending on how comited you are on getting there. iv really wanted to go to shwagstock in Missuri
bonnaroo, and other big fests liek that dont really intise me.
burning man, tho big still looks liek an amazing experience, i would love to do that
reggae on the rive aka 'reggae rising" was aand maybe still is one of the funnest west coast festivals. i neglected to go this year cus of money constraints. but i have had loads of fun there up in humbolt county
and the oregon country fair is , ithink, above and beond what most any festival can promise. you get an amaing atmosphrer. tons of people in all shapes sizes colors and from backrounds. crazy sense of reclance abondon, sureal setting and above all safty and kind hearted staff.
i would highly sujest the oregon county rair. good vibe orgazam country style

Burning Man is another one you should consider. I've never been there but my friend went this past summer and it was a life changing experience for him. He can't stop talking about it. Sounds like its way more surreal than any of the above-mentioned festivals.

I'd suggest planning your travels around a geographic location; NE, Midwest, Westcoast. That way you won't have to drive too far to get to the next one and you'll be able to hit the smaller ones, which I prefer because they're so cozy. Just check tour schedules of the bands and you can get an idea of where all you'd like to go. It's a little habit-forming. I'd rather hit five festies than blow all my $$ at the same place.
