i have a small tuperwere container outside with a small amount of wood ships leaves and mushroom butts in it. over the last weeek and a half it has sprouted lots of white string myselium all over the now firm cake blob of wood chips.

my queistion is should i allow it to breath? i have not beeen able t find an answer to thins in any tech iv looked at?
ahould i drill holes in the top of the tuperwere?
or keep it air tight for condensation?
any help greatly apreciated

You can't keep it airtight or the mycelium will suffocate and die. If you're working with unsterile substrate, I'd suggest leaving it exposed to the open air.

it dosent seem to be sufocatin, wich i assumed it would too. but k i leave the top off now.it seems to be pretty thickly colonised already
