Has anyone ever seen an albino B+? One of my 3 fruits on my only brf cake looks albino or has no cap, is this rare for a B+?

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

I had an albino from a EQ cake, unfortunatly the cake was not well, the albino only got to about 3 inches and stopped growing, other shrooms that developed mutated, quiff like head gills on outside, so i decided best to chuck it as it was likely contaminated. the albino looked fine apart from being small.

Just did not want to risk it.

Treasure Coast strain is notorious for fruiting up a few albinos; I got 3 or 4 the last time I worked with TC. Never heard of an albino B+ though... Indeed, anything's possible. Sweet! I hope it grows to be big and strong! I'm sure it'll treat you well.

Wonder if you ate 1/8 of albino if you would only see in black and white?

That looks like a mutant. It's a mushroom with no cap.

If you pull the cap off a mushroom, it will look like that.

Yea I'm starting to think its got no cap also... but, if by chance it grows one Ill clone it.... If it is a mutant and I clone it will they all look the same / no caps? Ill start a new strain P. NoCaps, but no caps = no spores... 2 bad

it would have to have a cap to get a spore print and it would have to actually be worth cloning to clone it

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

As said above, it's a mutant, not albino.
