Not really, they will mold pretty fast if left too long wet.
Maybe if you put them in the fridge?

They go slimy really quick in the fridge, unless you have one of those fridges that dry out the air. If you can't wait leave them on the cake as long as possible then pick and store in the fridge in a paper bag, not plastic. A friend of mine put is shrooms in a plastic bag (against my suggestion) and they turned to mush overnight.

for BEST results, place them in a paper bag and loosely fold the top of the bag over, or place them in a glass container and cover it with a dish towel or moist paper towel. Be sure to allow air circulation.

What about a mason jars with holes in the lid and then put into the freezer? I imagine this would keep them fresh for a while without letting them turn to mush.

I always figured you could store psilocybes the same way I store morels, shaggies, oysters etc... moisten a paper towel and place on a dinner plate. Place mushrooms on the damp towel and place another damp paper towel over them. Most of my gourmets will keep for a little over a week this way, although they rarely last that long... However I've never had a need to store my psilocybes this way so I can't say for sure it will work as well.
just make sure the towel is damp and not soaking wet... wring it out first.

Frozen shrooms = huge mess when they defrost.
The ice cristals rupture the cell membranes and the whole thing turns to slime when it defrosts.

I stored fresh srhooms in a fridge, in my container i had some silica gel, peice of paper on top of that then the shrooms, with the lid on tight, this keeps the air in the tub dry. I kept my shrooms for about 5 days like this.
Just make sure that there is something seperating your shrooms from the descicent.
I have also heard of people cutting there shrooms up into peices then storing them in honey for longer periods of time, plus its a good way to mask the taste.

What I do is wrap the shrooms in a paper towel, and put them in a ziploc freezer bag. I remove all the air I can from the bag, seal it, and place it in the fridge. I have stored small amounts of shrooms like this for ~2 weeks, replacing the paper towel every few days.

i do something similar as impeachme , i throw them in a regular tupper container and put a couple paper towels inside replacing them every few days , i usually keep them in the fridge 1-2 weeks with absolutely no rot/smell problems they have the same texture and taste as if they were just picked

dont freeze fresh shrooms, they turn to snot. I'd try the zip-loc method, sounds good to me.
