Fruiting bulk subs, best and simplest methods.

My first bulk sub just finnished colonizing (hpoo). I have a tub and some perlite. I was just gonna put down 4-5 inches of moist perlite, put wax paper over the tray to keep up the humidity (since im not applying a casing layer) place tub under 6000k lights and fan/mist regularly.
Are there better ways or important steps that I am missing here? I read that bulk subs dont even need a casing layer since the sub is so moist, especialy when you have wax paper to keep up the humidity. Is this correct. How often if at all should a casingless, hpoo, bulk sub be misted.

A few people here swear by uncased bulk, but unless it really is a pain for you to case it, it can do no harm to case it and it always helps to have that extra water reservoir at fruiting time.

THe OP hasn't mentioned wattage OR lumens just the temperature (colour) of the lights, which are 6000k.
And 6000k is the recommended light range for shrooms (vs a redder light)
So, you can't say if he/she has too much light or not. It could be a 25w 6000k bulb or a 125w 6000k bulb.
What wattage or lumen output does your bulb have?

He didn't leave anithing out. He said 6000k as in 6000 Kelvin.
Kelvin is used to measure light colour.
From Wikipedia
Quote:
Color temperature
The kelvin is often used in the measure of the color temperature of light sources. Color temperature is based upon the principle that a black body radiator emits light whose color depends on the temperature of the radiator. Black bodies with temperatures below about 4000 K appear reddish whereas those above about 7500 K appear bluish. Color temperature is important in the fields of image projection and photography where a color temperature of approximately 5500 K is required to match “daylight” film emulsions. In astronomy, the stellar classification of stars and their place on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram are based, in part, upon their surface temperature. The Sun for instance, has an effective photosphere temperature of 5778 K.

an uncased bulk substrate of horse poo without the wax paper will produce an uneven flush... but sometimes you will get some huge fruits this way.
some links on using wax paper for you to read, and to answer your other questions...
