What To Wear In Field To Blend In

DO NOT WEAR CAMMO...MAKES YOU LOOK GUILTY
At night...Wear Black of course
In the day wear Cacky or brown long pants, and a leaf green shirt.....
Most things that grow in the wild are brown on the bottom (trunk) and green on the top (leaves)...This will help you blend in during the daytime hours without looking like some army nut out there shooting at his cattle

I disagree. Camo shorts and a black T-shirt would not seem very strange.

I should have been more clear...I should have said "Do not get fully decked out in cammo" I guess wearing a nice cammo shirt or pants would not hurt...just don't go full cammo....Makes you look like you're up to something if you do get caught.
Wearing shorts into a field is just asking for trouble...At least here in Texas it is....I don't think there is a single creature or plant here that does not either bite, sting, or prick you in some way....Texas is a rough place....everything hurts. I pulled a freaking 2 inch cactus thorn outta my leg yesterday that I did not even know was buried over 1 inch into my thigh. I found it when I got home...Did not even hurt till I saw it

we had to lay down in the field (night time) when cars passed by, and i happened to lay down into a huge fire ant or something mound/nest. My right arm swelled up huuuuge and i counted 30 bites then gave up. Gotta love Tejas.

I love getting fully decked out in camo when I am hunting non actives Otherwise, NEVER wear all camo and never wear machettes and knives on your belt. Tans, medium greens, greys, and at night black. Never wear red, blue, and especially white. Good vibes equal good finds. One tip, watch your step, your probably standing on the things when you're checking your range sight.

Ewww, gross...
I hunt in well populated areas, thus trying to camouflage or match the environment is useless. I never hunt at night because I miss too much.
I try to dress in the least conspicuous way. For me this entails not wearing black. Unfortunately, a lot of my hunts are spontaneous, so I end up hunting in all black during the day in suburban areas anyway. Oh well, I'm a girl so people are nicer to me, hahahahahaha!

I feel you man, i've caught 3 salt shots to the ass and back so far. Bastards. . .
I wear camo shorts and usually a dull colored shirt, not dark and hot but not light and noticable. Greens work good but they are hot.
Grays (my fav.) are the best for my experience since you'll be standing up your silhoette will be against tree trunks, open field behind you, so it often works just as well if not better in some situations as green or camo.
Dont wear hats.
Dont wear white.
Dont wear red.
Dont wear orange. Must I go on. . . just use common sense. It all depends on where you are, and whos gonna be watching anyway? If theres people that go out regularly dont go there. Even if they dont catch you they'll probably call the cops and next time you go your gonna get pinched.
Pick your fields wisely, you should always stake them out. Find the ways in find the ways out. Get familar with the ground. Be careful for cows, they might look slow but just wait till you piss a bull off. *a note about the cows* IF YOU DONT ALREADY KNOW WALKING TOWARDS A HEARD OF CATTLE WILL NOT MAKE THEM MOVE, THEY WILL PURPOSLY STAND IN YOUR WAY AS A GROUP AND IF YOU COME TOO CLOSE THEY WILL MOST LIKELY CHARGE YOU IN A MINI-STAMPEDE. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS, AND WHATEVER YOU DO DONT SCREW WITH THEM. HOW MANY COW PASTURES ARE NEAR HOSPITALS, AND HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET OUT OF THE FIELD AFTER YOU GET GORGED BY A BULL?
No amount of fresh mushrooms is worth your health or life.
Hope this helped, I may have even saved your life.
lol its so funny to see me try to be serious (sorry everyone I'm still coming down from a trip earlier today.)

Hunters kind of piss me off. Now everyone who wants to go hike, pick mushrooms, birdwatch, etc has to worry about getting shot.
Believe me this really is an issue in some ares.

Where I go hunting there are no firearms allowed, I usually wear a pair of khaki cargo pants and a tanktop. If I need to stay warm though I only have a bright yellow windbreaker or a super heavy pendleton. I usually wear the yellow windbreaker so most people can see me from a few miles away.

I've heard shots fired from the http://www.prgc.net/ while I hunted.
Doesn't bother me.
Shooting there is fun. I like the idea that I am scaring "normals" when me and my friends shoot there. I hope all of San Francisco can hear my ammo.
I wear normal clothes (tie-dies and and tour shirts) when I hunt, along with a nice waterproof snowboard coat & pants and galoshes if I wander deep into the forest.
Also a cell phone, whistle and compass are good especially if you get lost.
I have never heard of anyone getting shot with anything anywhere other than salt peter. But I guess if they did they couldn't tell you about it.
If you are friends with someone like Dick Cheney then I guess you SHOULD worry.
In reality you should watch out for my friends pot fields too if your hunting anywhere north of santa rosa, you may have a rottweiler with it's vocal cords cut out eating your ass. (Not really that time of year anymore though)
Happy Hunting !
=)
