I have recently shot 0.1 cc into several 150 cc (~0,3 pint) glasses, and they have all colonized nicely.
A spore syringe should contains millions of spores, so only a very small volume of your syringe solution is necessary (if you shake it well before injecting). However, be very sure to inject the solution into the substrate (not into the vermiculite barrier layer, if you are using one).
The less spores you can see in the syringe, the more you ought to inject. If your syringes are loaded with spores, no need to waste them...

I wouldn't go with any less than 1, but I'm sure less does work, as Hyo says. May just take more time to fully colonize.

I've come to like making grain a little bit on the drier side and then inoculating it with a full cc. It seems to work pretty well. The drier grain makes growth faster and allows me to inoculate w/o making the grain overly wet.

I shot .5 cc in each 1/2 pint jar using a myc LC and the colonization was really slow. Make sure to shake the syringe after each shot.

Given the syringe is shaken really well, a really tiny amount will do the trick. If you want faster colonization, innoc in different points.
