Good mind set?
    #7578204 - 10/30/07 07:52 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I was doing some research on brain waves and I was looking for a good mind set from them. With my experience, salvia seems to induce delta or theta brain waves. You may feel like you're in a dream-like state of consciousness. However it's usually when I feel my brain is the most productive (and therefore beta) is when I would be most comfortable doing salvia for a 3rd or 4th plateau trip. I may be mistaken. Although my mind might feel more clear, would this clash with the different waves salvia may produce? (This is hypothetical from my point of view so correct me if you want).

I'd like to know this for certain time periods of the day might be better for me to choose when I wish to begin my journey.

what waves you have going before will be more with salvia
alpha, delta and theta are abstracted from noise
as aggregate wave frequencies, but they are too grossly determined to reveal much you can use for your salvia experiences.
The gross aggregate waveform will be the same, but temporal events will smear over a slightly longer period.

instead just observe the sensory signals - noting longer duration and compounding as the new ones keep arriving while the passing ones linger longer. many psychedelic effects ensue from overlay and stacking up of signals.
this wont correlate well with alpha beta theta.

BTW you sound like you are preparing for a voyage.

salvia might be a voyage you never return from but the experience is very short.
you are better off taking no baggage, no expectations: if you need to change your underwear,
do it after you return - like in five minutes.
