Can someone please post a photo of a proper parafilm wrapping job? Or better yet some action photos of wrapping (now THAT would be exciting)?
Before you flame me, I *did* use the search function...
I want to know how to use the stuff and still be able to see the specimen through the top of the dish.
thanks.

you just fold it in half and wrap it around the edge of the petri dish the top and bottom are not covered so you can see them fine .

rip off about four squares and then fold the strip in half and wrap it around the dish. You'll only need about half as much to wrap a test-tube but it's still folded the same way...

I've been using Glad Cling Wrap, but it comes unstuck after a few days. I think maybe they "improved" this product?
Think I'd better get the real deal. It's sold in craft stores for plasticlay masking, right?

I have no idea if it's sold in craft/hobby shops although that would simplify locating it in a pinch when I run out. I've always purchased it from vendors off this site.

It's at science and lab type supply houses. 4 squares is about right for a dish, and don't forget to stretch it as you wrap. That's how it holds tight. RR
