Humans=animals
Human brain = came without user manual
Spirituality and Philosophy = too much leisure time.
Meaning of life = survival and procreation. ___________________________________________________________
Grand total = Chaos and confusion of purpose and goals.
I could be wrong of course and I had hoped for something else but this is what it looks like from here. Happy Halloween.

while I tend to agree, using your analogies/example, I feel that we (the physical manifestation separated from our brain, our body) is the user manual. It starts blank and is written in as we act and react. This is why everyone's manual is ultimately different no matter how similar. Unfortunately, most of us (myself included, often) are not willing or are afraid to rip out pages from time to time or use white out or just cross through some of the manual as newer directions/instructions become available [realized, understood, etc.]

We could be a whole other level of awareness compared to animals. We are capable of analyzing ourselves, which can allow us to override the instinctive reflex's of the mind. We can also override the instinctive reflex's of our body's using will power.

I was speaking of the biological/material realities as we know them. Everything else seems speculative. That does not equate with untrue. We just don't know.
It seems to me that we create our meaning or it is created for us by ingrained patterns from childhood experience.
Love and participation are good ways of creating meaning and is a different topic IMO.

this is meaningless dribble. you need to learn the difference between a theory and a synecdoche. what may be partly true does not explain the whole. i'm not saying that what you are presenting is false, but it's not philosophy so why put it in this forum?

meaning is just association more association, more "sense of meaning" something only briefly experienced for the first time and unlike anything else will have little meaning. very little is hardwired in the human brain except for body senses and timing and some autonomic functions. like 1% of the total real estate is basically devoted to inputs like these. the rest is all associative and derived from experiences.
so, often, meaningful relates to frequently encountered or related like family - usually that one is so full of meaning

This is extremely humorous, coming from the person who posted:

I think I'm going to come to his defense here or otherwise I will incriminate myself. When I saw his post it reminded me of some of mine to others here. He's right IMO. And so he's inconsistent, so am I, it's a human thingy. So he's right to point it out to me. That post wasn't really well thought out and was mostly an empty rant.
Thanks for your support though.
