My new fruiting chamber setup

I've decided to redo my fruiting chamber after reading lots of advice from rogerrabbit. Before I was misting water on the bottom and sides of the container and fanning 4-5x a day, getting either too dry cakes or contams. Now i'm trying a setup where the FAE is automatic. I got these rollaway plastic containers from walmart. I've drilled 1/4" holes about 3" apart on the bottom of the container and the same on the lid. It is filled with about 2-3" wet & drained perlite. Looks like I can fit 2 turkey pans this size.
Also I've got a bit of bacillus growing on the top of cake from incubation where the foil touched the cake and kept wet. I'm pretty sure it wont hurt the cake...am I right? I have a 60watt incandescent bulb pointed on the cake and a little light from a 400w grow light. Otherwise, does everything look peachy?

Yeah, I kinda realize there is only about 2 1/2" of clearance from the lid to the cake. Wont the mushrooms just grow more outward then? The lid is securable so its not like the mushrooms are going to push it off and it has holes drilled in the lid so there shouldn't be any condensation on it to hurt mushrooms.

thats a good idea .. get another tub same type and fasten it upside down on the lower one with some screws one or each corner .. might be a pain to take the lid off but those will need more headspace ..

great idea stacking one on top the other, that would work and i bought 4 tubs. I think i could get away with a single tub if I had used the smaller roaster pans.
Anyone tried this method of automatic FAE with the drilled holes and perlite?

Even with holes, a bit of fanning is good. The holes should be on all six sides, and the tub should be at least three times as tall as that one. It isn't so much space for the fruits to grow as it's about more room to dissipate the stale air. I'd suggest a tub much taller, with three to five inches of well drained perlite on the bottom.
Any perlite that is covered up by the tray renders it useless. The tray should be supported above the perlite, so the perlite can do its job.
That isn't bacillus on the top of the turkey pan tray, but rather metabolites. It's also too dry, so I'd let some water from the faucet gently run into that tray, overfilling it for a few hours. RR

I'd say i got all that metabolites from too hot incubation, got my incubation closet 80 and below now. Thanks for your input rogerrabbit.

About the tray and perlite - do you mean to put the tray in the tub first, and then spread the perlite around it? I have a similar tub with a few more inches of clearance... hope it works out in a weeks time! I could always get another tub... mine is approx. 27 long X 16 and 7 high - I have one shotgun bag... and could use another one for the other side I suppose.

I meant elevate the tray above the perlite.

I thought you said that the perlite covered up by the tray is useless... I was just trying to make more allotted room in the FC since I have only 7 inches of clearance
