I could care less about the grade of my GE"s so long as I pass
As for the dream...I don't even remember anymore, I do recall me and a friend were trying to deduce the differences between hares and bunny rabbits, and it somehow culinated in my stealing an apple when buying a moldy banana

it sucks to be in classes that you just wanna pass and that's it
but philosophy is one of those classes that apply to your life decisions, your thoughts, your beliefs, and it makes you think in ways you never would have.
at least take something from philosophy, it's worth it..just my 2c

QFT. I enjoyed my philosophy classes immensely, you really do get to examine in detail why we do certain things in everyday life that we normally don't think about or just take for granted.
Sociology is equally useful. You know what kind of behavior is expected of you, and how you interact with others, but do you know why and how these norms came about? I find it interesting how people throughout history have agreed on arbitrary traditions and behaviors that have become a way of life for all of us. Its all by chance, and one person's influence could've drastically altered present day life.
If it were'nt for classes like these my Business grad courses would bore me to oblivion and make college seem like only a burden. Remember to enjoy college learning, its all for your benefit.

Sociology completely changed the way I looked at reality, at my life, it impaced my beliefs, etc.
Sociology/philosophy change the way you perceive and think about the world. They're 2 of the most valuable subjects I'll ever take, and I hate to say it but I may just have been another mindless drone had it not been for those topics expanding the way I think....
college may be for the benefit of some, and not for others. all depends on the person, and that person needs to decide, i think
cool.
btw whats QFT?

Well whadya know, I slept through my first two classes. I only got up and drove an hour to the class that will fail you if you have 4 absences. When the class started, the professor said he had a migrane and let us go after 10 minutes. Now I'm having to wait an hour and a half for my next class with no money to go get something to eat...

I get to sleep later on days I go to school than days I go to work. I have to be up at 5:30 in the morning to go to work, the sun is just barely coming up when I get there. And thats pretty much every day except tuesday and thursday. A steady prescription to amphetamine helps out alot though.

I usually set about three alarms that go off before I actually get up. One at 6:30 to remind me I need to be up in 2 hours. One at 8:00 to remind me my ass needs to be and in the shower in 30 minutes.
And last, at 8:30 my final alarm goes off and all hell breaks loose. I leave the warmth of my blankets, and off to hell for the day.

Nah, it was at a smaller school in upstate NY. It was a requirement for phys. ed. majors. I took one semester, realized how pointless a "phys. ed." major would be and then switched to science.

waking up for class is nothing compared to waking up to go to WORK at a JOB in the REAL WORLD, you lazy hippy.
If you can't handle waking up at 10AM to go to class for a couple hours then spending the rest of the day smoking pot, you're in for a rude awakening to a life full of disappointment. Because it only gets worse when you're older.

No way man! waking up to go to a boring ass day of classes is WAY worse than waking up to go to work, in my opinion.
I guess it all depends wether or not you enjoy the work/or class youre going to. I actually like going to work most of the time, and i dont really mind if i have to wake up early. not too early though, like 6 or 5 though, fuck that.

I remember on the morning of 9/11 I was headed to community college and it was really pissing me off that I couldn't find any music on the radio.
Then after about 10 minutes of frustrated flipping around the dial I actually started listening to what was being said and I was like: "Whoa, shit."
But it didn't sink in fully until I saw the images of the plane hitting projected 10 feet high in my government classroom. When the first tower fell, my professor told us all to go home.
I went out in the courtyard and ALL the students were out there, some of them standing on tables shouting political opinions. Kind of a crazy scene so I bailed back to the pad.
Spent the rest of the day smoking weed and watching CNN.

When I took a philosophy class I thought it was just going to be another I just did for the credit. But after starting it I really loved it, it made you think about things and there are some really fun concepts. Plus it works wonders for picking up girls once you get past the what's up nice hair line. You ask her some question on what is really right or wrong, you seem smart that way.
