Anyone here had it done? I've been short-sighted for about 10 years now and I'm contemplating it.

Best decision I ever made. I can't tell you how liberating it feels not to have to wear glasses anymore. From pictures I had seen of it, it looked like it would be scary, but other than being a bit claustrophobic, it actually wasn't that bad. I highly recommend it.

Is there any way to make it so I can see your posts but not your signature??

Having all this equipment up in your face. It's not too bad, but let's just say I was glad that it didn't take too long(I think the whole operation was about 15 minutes).

Oh really? I always assumed they would knock you out with anesthetics.
That can't be much fun being awake for the duration of having your eye cut open.

You don't really feel it when they're cutting your eye(you don't see it either, because put pressure on your eye that blurs your vision). The thing you really feel is the device they use to keep your eye open and hold it still.

Like someone else said: Best decision I ever made.
I went to an awesome surgeon. I had glasses for 14 years, and 7 days after surgery I was 20/15, (better than normal vision).
