Extremely Slow. I first saw pins 4 days ago and the biggest ones are only a cm. I am fanning about 8 times a day and I've got 10 cm of perlite in a shotgun style FC. Whats wrong?

I dont have a humidity gauge. As I said I fan about 8 times a day. And temps have been around 28 Degress.

hmmm, yup thats enough fanning. 28 degrees is a little high for fruiting, generaly fruiting is at around 70-74 F.
I think that is normal for pins is it not, i remember my last cakes (first) when pins showd up they were around for 4ish days then after that growth just spurted and started growing very fast.

ok thank you if they dont speed up I will post again in this thread. Also is there a threat of the humidity being to high? My FC is only like 2 litres big and I have 10 cm of perlite.

Im guessing that you have cakes in your FC.
Cakes love high humidity, for cakes 95-99 is ideal, if you have casings, they can be a little more tolerent of lower humidity as long as you keep the casing layer hydrated.

Misting can help humidity after fanniing, dont spray cakes directly though mist above ur chamber and allow a fine fine mist fall in the FC.
Im in the same situation, dont have a humidity gauge either so never sure exactly what my humidity is, im assuming it must be ok as my last cakes produced decent sized fruits

Slow growing pins are caused by insufficient substrate moisture. You need to dunk your cakes. You can set them in a saucer of water right now during the flush to hydrate. RR

also can pins drown? I have about 10 small mushrooms submerged in the water now. How long should I leave it in the water for?
